Session 1: Elder Fraud Prevention

Assistant U.S. Attorney Jessica Thornhill

 

 

 

Ms. Thornhill has been an Assistant United States Attorney prosecuting federal crimes for over nine years. She currently serves as the Deputy Chief of Economic Crimes and as the Elder Justice Coordinator for the United States Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Louisiana.
In her role as Elder Justice Coordinator, AUSA Thornhill provides information and guidance to law enforcement and the general public on ways to prevent elder fraud. Further, she has prosecuted several defendants who have targeted seniors in our community.
AUSA Thornhill has been a lifelong public servant, previously working as an Assistant Attorney General in Louisiana and serving as an Officer in the United States Navy. She received her undergraduate degree from the United States Naval Academy and her law degree from the University of Illinois-Chicago, where she served on the Moot Court Board and the Law Review.
