MedicAlert® + Alzheimer’s Association Safe Return® is a nationwide program run in partnership between MedicAlert Foundation (“MedicAlert®“) and the Alzheimer’s Disease and Related Disorders Association, Inc. (“Alzheimer’s Association”.)
MedicAlert® + Safe Return® is a 24-hour nationwide emergency response service for individuals with Alzheimer’s or a related dementia who wander or have a medical emergency. The MedicAlert® + Safe Return® Program of Alzheimer’s Services funds the jewelry and first year of services in Ascension, Assumption, East and West Baton Rouge, East and West Feliciana, Iberville, Livingston, Pointe Coupee and St. Helena parishes through a tribute gift made by Bill Atchison in honor of Jeanne Atchison.
Alzheimer’s Services of the Capital Area is not affiliated with the Alzheimer’s Association, MedicAlert® or the MedicAlert® + Safe Return® program. However, Alzheimer’s Services of the Capital Area may be able to help pay for membership in the program for affected individuals or caregivers in the ten-parish area served (Ascension, Assumption, East and West Baton Rouge, East and West Feliciana, Iberville, Livingston, Pointe Coupee and St. Helena).
