Empowering Yourself as a Caregiver is a guide to help caregivers to recognize boundaries in their caregiving journey and how to work on putting in a plan in place to give themselves respite.

Laura Gauthier is the Program Director for The Bridge Alzheimer’s & Dementia Resource Center. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Certified Dementia Practitioner. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Louisiana State University in Shreveport and a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health from Louisiana Tech University. Laura is pursuing a Masters of Science in Nonprofit Administration. Laura serves as Vice President on the Board of Directors of the Bossier Council on Aging.
